Meet Charles S. Snyder (Chuck), Loan Officer for Kalamazoo County State Bank. Chuck joined KCSB in 2016 as Branch Manager of the Mattawan Office. He brought many skills with him to KCSB including excellent lending, sales and branch management skills. In 2019, Chuck moved into his current position as Loan Officer where he is able to help individuals, families and businesses with their loan needs.
“As a Loan Officer for KCSB, I am able to help customers finance their purchase needs and/or access equity to provide cash to accomplish their financial goals,” Chuck explains. “I also help businesses by providing financing for growing their business and providing access to capital to help with operating expenses. I really enjoy helping my customers with their borrowing needs.”
Chuck’s ability to build strong relationships with customers and within the communities KCSB serves, continues to align well with KCSB’s community bank philosophy.
“KCSB gives me the opportunity to genuinely serve and focus on helping the people in our local communities without the bureaucracy and emphasis on bottom line profits that I have experienced with larger banks,” Chuck said. “What I appreciate most about KCSB is that we are a small community bank. This gives each person that works at the Bank a voice in the direction, implementation and application of the services we provide. Our individual efforts have a direct impact on our customers and the communities we serve.”
Graduating from Western University, Chuck has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He has over 20 years of financial services experience. Before joining the KCSB, he served as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for JP Morgan Chase Bank in Battle Creek. He has also held branch management and sales positions at HSBC/HFC in Portage.
With a love for boating, camping, fishing and hunting, when not in the office, you will find Chuck spending time in the spring and summer in Grand Haven frequenting the local shops, walking the pier and boating. In the fall and winter, Chuck enjoys spending time up north fishing and hunting.
