Meet Maria Brandt, a Personal Banker at the KCSB’s Vicksburg branch. Maria is one of those people who delights in meeting and greeting people. Her genuine smile is welcoming and contagious! Her customers especially enjoy her eagerness to help them from opening new accounts, to exploring different ways to meet their financial dreams to engaging in some fun family conversations!
“I love working at KCSB,” says Maria. “It is very rewarding to place my customers with the best products to fit their needs. I find great satisfaction making sure my customers are taken care of and know that they are in trusted hands with all of us at KCSB.”
Maria began her career at KCSB in October of 2017 as a Teller. She was promoted in April of 2020 to her current position as a Personal Banker. In the years to come, Maria plans to continue expanding her knowledge and her advancement at KCSB!
“I chose to work at KCSB because I wanted to do something different and challenge myself to learn new things,” recalls Maria. “I actually came in as a customer when one of the girls mentioned that they were hiring. I came back for an application and the rest is history!”
KCSB is truly about helping customers with all their financial needs – whether it’s checking and savings accounts, mortgages, personal loans, business accounts and retirement. In addition, there are always some fun lobby and holiday traditions. “Some of my favorite memories working here at KCSB are around Christmas time,” Maria explains. “We really enjoy decorating our lobby to bring in the Christmas cheer. We are also extremely spoiled by our customers who bring us Christmas treats! KCSB always feels like one big happy family – it’s rewarding and fun!”
Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her immediate family – husband Andrew, daughter Charlotte, and her two “CRAZY” cats Hazel and Buggy. She and Andrew are also busy renovating and updating their new home.

- Favorite pastime includes spending time with my family at my in-law’s cabin near Houghton Lake. It is so peaceful and there is no internet, so we really get to spend quality time together!
- My role model is my mother. She is selfless, strong and would do absolutely anything for the people she loves.
- Some of my favorite foods are pizza, pasta, and lots of chocolate!
- My hobbies are baking, cooking, playing with my daughter, and working on craft projects.
- My favorite season is fall, the weather is perfect, and I love all the colors that come along with it.
- My playlist is very random, but I really enjoy Turnpike Troubadours, Chris Stapleton, and the occasional Brittney Spears moment.
- My favorite TV shows are “The Office” and “Fixer Upper.”
- My Favorite quote is “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
