Spend a little time with Patrick Fitzgerald, the Mattawan Branch Manager, and you understand the bench strength

he has to help guide his customers on their financial journeys.

Sports have always been an important part of Patrick’s daily life since he was a boy. The ability to assess others’ strengths, communicate, listen, empathize, set goals and provide positive reinforcement are the skills he learned playing and coaching sports.

Today, these are the leadership skills Patrick uses in the Bank and during his free time when he is coaching in the community and playing sports with his family.

Celebrating his 5-year anniversary, Patrick joined KCSB in 2019 as Branch Manager of the Mattawan Office. As the Bank continues to grow and serve a broader, more diverse customer base, Patrick has the banking expertise and personal customer service skills that KCSB customers rely on for all their financial needs.

“Community is very important to me and is the main reason I enjoy working at KCSB,” said Patrick. “I like to volunteer at the schools whether it is coaching, filling snack bags for the Wildpacks or helping at a school event. KCSB is involved in many things that help the community. Living in Mattawan, KCSB is the perfect fit.”

With over 25 years of banking experience, Patrick gained his bench strength in banking by moving through the ranks in credit cards, collections, operations, commercial loans, health care and treasury management at a regional bank in Kalamazoo. In his last position, Patrick was a Loan Analyst.

Patrick has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Management – both from the University of Phoenix. He also has an Associate Degree in General Studies from Kalamazoo Valley Community College,

When not in the Bank, Patrick enjoys spending his free time with his family. Patrick and his wife have two children and two dogs. “In addition to coaching my children, we enjoy playing all sports together in our free time,” said Patrick. “We enjoy exploring Michigan and taking yearly trips in the summer to different parts of this great state. Even though my kids are getting older, we are still a big Disney family and like to spend time in Cocoa Beach, Florida every spring.”
