Cassandra O'Callaghan-HornMeet Cassandra O’Callaghan-Horn, a Personal Banker in the Kalamazoo County State Bank (KCSB) Vicksburg Branch office. Cassandra began her career with KCSB in January as a Teller and is working towards becoming a Personal Banker.

“As I continue to learn and interact with our customers, I am reminded why I love working with the public,” said Cassandra. “Each person I have had the pleasure of meeting has been wonderful. I really enjoy the public interaction once again. Prior to coming on board with the Bank I was a personal care giver to my mother. It was time for a change. I truly enjoy coming to work every day and getting to know not only our customers but the team here at Vicksburg. Everyone is just so amazing.”

If you’re in the Vicksburg area, and you’d like to open a new checking account, signup for online banking or learn how to download the KCSB mobile app, Cassandra is excited to help you with all your banking needs. She can also refer you to the best Banker to help you with any of your lending needs, whether it’s a new mortgage, self-build construction loan or business line of credit.

Cassandra is admittedly extremely proud of her family. “I am proudly married to LTJG Daniel O’Callaghan-Horn. He was my best friend before he was my husband. He served in the Army seven years as a Korean Linguist, then switched services to the Navy as an Information Specialist. He is currently stationed in Norfolk, VA. I have three sons: Duncan, 21; JT, 20; and Logan 17. I have one daughter, Rhiannon, who is 19. I am super proud of all my kids! AND then we have Aiofe, who is our blue nose pittie…she is a piglet disguised in a pittie’s body; Caoimhe (Keeva), our chocolate lab/pit mix and Aiofe’s daughter, who is two, and a Velociraptor stuck in a dog’s body! And our boy Finnegan, also two, son of Aoife, is a Mastiff/Pit mix. He loves to cuddle but won’t admit it! We rescued Aiofe over two years ago from a kill shelter in Kentucky. She had seven days and was pregnant…imagine the nerve! She gave birth to seven puppies one week after arriving to our home. The amount of destruction seven pups can do…you can imagine. lol! I worked with a licensed rescue and five of those pups went to wonderful homes, while Aiofe and the remaining two stayed with me…best decision ever! Our absolute goal is to eventually settle in Texas, buy a huge plot of land, and rescue animals. My dream world!”

Outside of work, Cassandra spends a lot of time with her three dogs. “Where I go, they go! I love to read, mostly romance novels (guilty pleasure!), we kayak and swim tons in the spring and summer. As soon as it is warm enough, we hit the water. We have an inground pool in our backyard, so you can imagine how much time we spend outdoors! We light the bonfire, call the friends, and off we go! The Bank gives me an opportunity to wear something besides cowboy boots and flannels!”
