Meet Will Baker, a Personal Banker at KCSB’s Schoolcraft Branch Office. Will joined KCSB in 2022 with experience working at another financial institution in the area.
“At the end of last year, KCSB enticed me to leave my position at a Kalamazoo Credit Union and join the KCSB team as a Personal Banker,” said Will. “I have enjoyed the last three months with the Schoolcraft Branch, working the teller line, and learning the ropes of being a Personal Banker. The best part of KCSB, and what convinced me to join the team, is the strong emphasis on building relationships with our customers and the greater community.”

Outside of KCSB, Will enjoys politics. “I enjoy engaging in politics, both locally and nationally, and have assisted with a handful of campaigns throughout Southwest Michigan over the last few years. I am often reading books about politics and the economy and will almost always have an opinion about anything.”
With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Will returned to his roots in Michigan. Will explains, “Battle Creek is my childhood home but most of my siblings have traveled away from Southwest Michigan. In addition to Battle Creek, I now have family in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Being the odd one in my family, I traveled off to Alaska to attend the University of Alaska Fairbanks, but my heart called me back home after graduation and I have called Kalamazoo home since 2012.”
