Kalamazoo County State Bank (KCSB) is pleased to announce the recipients of two coveted awards given at yearend each year. Crystal M. Holston was chosen as the recipient of the 2022 Ken Krum Employee of the Year Award. Anthony R. Poehlman was selected as the recipient of the 2022 LeeRoy M. Angell
Directors Award.

“As we celebrate our 115th Anniversary this year, we continue to credit our excellent staff for helping to make KCSB successful over the years,” said KCSB President and Chief Executive Officer D. Scott Hines. “These two employees perform exceptionally well in their positions with KCSB. As our IT Manager, Crystal excels at internal communications and resolving issues as they arise. As one of our Loan Clerks, Tony consistently volunteers in our communities to help make our neighborhoods a better place for all of us to live and work. As the local community bank, I am extremely proud of our employees and it’s an honor to award Crystal and Tony this year.”

Crystal M. Holston – 2022 Ken Krum Employee of the Year Award
This award is given in recognition of outstanding performance and dedicated service. Holston was selected as 2022 recipient by KCSB Officers in recognition of her dedication to the Bank and enthusiasm toward her job. She joined KCSB in 2021 and currently serves as the Bank’s IT Manager. She works in the Schoolcraft office. Hines said, “We can always count on Crystal to excel in her work, and with a positive attitude and an optimistic outlook. Working with someone with these two personality traits is always refreshing!”

Anthony R. Poehlman – 2022 LeeRoy M. Angell Directors Award
This award is given to honor an employee who has demonstrated outstanding community service and dedication to the Bank. Poehlman was selected as the 2022 recipient for his work and dedication to the Bank’s many volunteer activities. Some of the activities he participated in include “Tie One On” making blankets for Bronson Children’s Hospital and the Walk to end Alzheimer’s. Poehlman joined KCSB in 2017 and currently serves as a Loan Clerk in the Schoolcraft office. “Tony has always stepped up to volunteer in our communities since joining our Bank, said Hines. “He is definitely one of our leaders in volunteerism!”

KCSB has been honoring a LeeRoy M. Angell Directors Award since 1983 and a Ken Krum Employee of the Year since 1987.
